It's been almost six years since we had a standing seam metal roof installed on our house and we still catch ourselves saying how this was the most dramatic home improvement we've done.
Ben at Straight Solutions came out years ago to inspect our aging shingle roof in our 1950s era Crestview home and we all knew it was time for it to be replaced. What we didn't expect was how comparable the price was for a metal roof!
They fully removed all of the layers of ashpalt shingles, replaced some damanged plywood areas, and then completely resealed all plumbing vents and penetrations as they put down all new underlayment. We know our roof structure is in great condition now!
The metal roof has performed so well in all of the varying weather conditions we've had in Austin over the past years. From ice storms to thunderstorms, to hail, and in high wind scenarios, the metal roof has never had a problem or shown signs of damange.
Ben has been fantastic to work with over the years too, they are timely and quick to reply and have been very helpful at getting documentation for our insurance needs (metal roof discounts for the win!). They're just the best roofers in Central Austin, that's for sure!
